Rapid PVST+ Design Constraints

Rapid PVST+ is the recommended version of Spanning Tree to be deployed. Rapid PVST+ should be configured in conjunctions with VLAN pruning on trunks, Portfast,& BPDU Guard on end-user ports (not ports connected to networking equipment like switches and routers as this can cause loops). LoopGuard & RootGuard should also be used.
Note that Storm Control is not currently deployed as standard due to the need to profile traffic over time to understand the typical levels of broadcast and multicast traffic on a network
