How to migrating from current to new program?
The new CCIE Security certification v6.0 is going to replace the current CCIE Security v5.0 on February 24, 2020. If you already engaged in working towards the current CCIE Security certification, don’t skip it. Instead, keep working towards it. This will allow having credit in the new program. In case you pass the current CCIE Security v5.0 written exam before February 24, then you will be eligible to sit for the new CCIE Security v6.0 lab exam after February 24.
It is important to note that the CCIE Security v5.0 written exam will be replaced with SCOR 350-701 after February 24. Once you pass SCOR 350-701, you will earn the Cisco Certified Specialist – Security Core certification.
On the other hand, if you are able to complete the entire CCIE Security certification before February 24, then you can maintain your CCIE Security certification as per the new re-certification guidelines. And you will also be eligible for receiving the Cisco Certified Specialist – Security core certification.
